Galbot (Galaxy General Robot) Galbot G1
Dual-arm robot with a humanoid torso on a four-wheel omnidirectional base, which Galbot calls a humanoid (The Robot Report classes it as a “semi-humanoid” mobile manipulator). It is used mainly in autonomous shops and pharmacies in China, where it picks, packs and restocks products; according to the Chinese financial press, over 1,200 units were shipped in 2025. Deployment figures come from the company or from media quoting it.

What it does, and on what evidence
Five mandatory fields on every sheet. A product page proves neither commercial availability nor full autonomy: here we separate what has been documented from what is announced.
- 1 · Task
- Picking, packing, delivering and restocking products and taking inventory in autonomous shops, pharmacies and quick-commerce warehouses; Galbot also offers it for factories (sorting and assembling parts, moving material, loading and unloading) and hospitals. Swappable grippers, suction cups or dexterous hands.
- 2 · Autonomy by task
Does on its own
According to Galbot, the whole shop or warehouse process (order, picking, packing, restocking, inventory) is autonomous and the robot returns to charge on its own; it is driven by in-house vision-language-action models. At a pharmacy in Haidian (Beijing), staff told China News Service the system handles orders, sorting, packing, restocking and inventory on its own. No error or intervention rates have been published.
A person steps in
In pharmacies, licensed pharmacists remain in charge of reviewing prescriptions and advising on medicines, and sales require the operating company to hold a pharmaceutical distribution licence. Galbot does not publish whether there is remote supervision or assistance, nor how each shop is set up (in one day, according to the company).[Galbot][CGTN, 2026][The Robot Report, 2025][The Robot Report, 2025]
- 3 · Strongest evidence
Operational use2026-03
In March 2026 CGTN documented with photos a G1 working in a roughly 70 m² pharmacy in Haidian (Beijing), 24 hours a day; local regulators described it as a pilot programme. According to Galbot and media quoting it, in July 2025 it was operating in over 10 Beijing pharmacies, in December 2025 its shops were running in over 30 cities and in May 2026 in over 120 “Galaxy Space Capsule” stores. There is no independent performance data.[CGTN, 2026][China Daily, 2025][The Robot Report, 2025][China IP News, 2026]
- 4 · Access
- Commercial product
The G1 page offers purchase (“Buy Now”) with no public price. According to the Chinese financial press, over 1,200 G1s were shipped in 2025; Galbot says it has orders for “thousands of units” and has launched its own autonomous shops using the G1.
- 5 · Lifecycle
- Current generation
A 173 cm Galbot with a rotating base and 2.4 m reach (the G1’s figures) was shown at WAIC in Shanghai in July 2024; The Robot Report dates the G1’s release to March 2025, when Galbot presented its shop solution. In November 2026 it is still on Galbot’s website alongside the S1 and ET1 models, which are separate platforms.
