DEEP Robotics Jueying X30

Industrial quadruped from DEEP Robotics unveiled in October 2023 for inspection, emergency response and patrol. The maker states IP67, operation from −20 to 55 °C, about 4 h unloaded and 2.5 h loaded, an autonomous charging dock and a swappable battery. The X30 Pro version adds a controller for navigation and inspection.

What it does, and on what evidence

Five mandatory fields on every sheet. A product page proves neither commercial availability nor full autonomy: here we separate what has been documented from what is announced.

1 · Task
Patrol power facilities (substations, cable tunnels, converter stations) and other plants looking for anomalies; the maker also targets emergency reconnaissance and site patrol.
2 · Autonomy by task

Does on its own

In navigation mode it moves autonomously along maps and routes, avoids obstacles and returns to its charging dock by itself when the battery is low. In SP Group's tunnel it patrols the galleries, looks for cracks and seepage and produces a report at the end of each inspection.

A person steps in

It has manual and assisted modes with a handheld controller. The manual asks operators to keep the robot in sight and 2 m from people, and to consult the maker before operating amid strong electromagnetic interference. At SP Group maintenance staff use the reports to prioritise repairs, and inspectors keep training detection with defect images and simulated scenarios.[DEEP Robotics, 2025][DEEP Robotics][Robotics 24/7, 2025]

3 · Strongest evidence

Pilot2025-02-14

An adapted X30 unit, “SPock”, patrols sections of SP Group's 40 km underground power transmission tunnel (Singapore) as part of a pilot project. SP Group plans to scale it up and expects to save 480 hours of manual inspection a year; this is a projection, not a measured result.[Robotics 24/7, 2025][DEEP Robotics]

Configurations

Variants of the same robot; not counted as separate platforms.

  • X30 Pro

Version with an intelligent controller (a third computer for navigation and inspection) and an optional bi-spectrum PTZ camera. Per its manual (V2.0.5, November 2025): 59 kg; 1000 × 470 × 715 mm standing; 20 kg payload including the controller; 4 h unloaded and 2.5 h loaded; 1.2 m/s walking and 2.5 m/s running (4.95 m/s in an extreme test); IP67; −20 to 55 °C; charging in 2.5–3 h. Data measured “under ideal conditions”.[DEEP Robotics, 2025]
